US Equity Holdings & Pompeii Sustainable Preservation Project Congratulate Sony Pictures On The Development And Release Of Pompeii The Movie

US Equity Holdings and Fraunhofer's Building Physics Pompeii Sustainable Preservation Project congratulate Sony Pictures on the development and release of POMPEII. Set in 79 AD, POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

A visual masterpiece, the film shows the destruction of the former Roman city Pompeii. Covered in volcanic ash, this 200-year-old time capsule presently hosts 2.5 million visitors per year from around the world who come to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Pompeii Sustainable Preservation Project, led by Europe's leading universities, is working to provide appropriate conservation, training and research to preserve the ancient ruins and sustain the history of our ancestors who occupied the city of Pompeii.
