TEAM

“Yukon Brad” Booth is a professional poker player and a frequent competitor on the tournament circuit. He has been considered one of the most successful high-limit cash game players in poker. He has played hundreds of thousands of hands over his 20-year career, accumulating millions of dollars. As a US Equity Holdings Partner, Brad supports the firm’s ventures with his strong relationships and business development practice, which he credits to the “poker in business” strategies and game theory concepts he shares with US Equity Holdings CEO Chester Aldridge.

At the age of 15, without the knowledge of his parents, Brad dropped out of high school to begin his poker career. By the time he was 25, “Yukon Brad” was staying at various Las Vegas hotels and averaging 19 hours of playing time each day. News spread across the Las Vegas Strip that “Yukon Brad” was playing more poker than anyone else in the world. His style of play caught the eyes of players on the circuit. Phil Laak referred to Brad as a “poker savant,” while other players have rated him as one of the best cash game poker players in the world. During this time, Brad established the first no-limit Texas Hold’em poker game outside of “Bobby’s Room” at the Bellagio Casino. When he was not participating in different tournaments around the world, he was playing online. Brad was a pioneer in online poker, becoming one of the first professional players in the world to play online.

Known as a very approachable and welcoming person on and off the felt, his laid back attitude has made him a fan favorite. Over the years, “Yukon Brad” has been on multiple televised poker shows, including NBC's Poker After Dark and GSN's High Stakes Poker, where he bought in for “a cool million.” He is best known for crafting one of the greatest televised bluffs in poker history against Phil Ivey, who many consider to be the best overall poker player in the world. The High Stakes Poker episode has accumulated hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube. Brad has had offers to write poker books and has been invited to many speaking engagements, including the opportunity to speak at Yale University to break down his playing strategy against Ivey.

Poker is beyond fun and games for Brad. He relates his growing interest in business strategy and development as “another poker game with greater strategy and reward.” His support for US Equity Holdings and its different business deals is a reflection of his growing interests in business.

Outside of the poker world, Brad likes to volunteer for charity organizations. In the past, he has volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity. He also helped establish an annual charity event called All In For Arthritis, which raises funds for juvenile arthritis. He attends many charity poker events each year. On one particular volunteer trip back in his hometown of Mission, British Columbia, Canada, he was awarded an honorary high school diploma. The honor fulfilled his mother’s dying wishes for Brad to receive a diploma.

Brad consults players of all skill levels, including professionals, who want to improve their poker game through Brad's strategies and success principles. Brad continues to participate in both live and online tournaments and cash games around the world.
